2. How long do the Consultations last?
From 1 hour to 1 day depending on the particular consultation, please click style services for details. Due to the personalised nature of the service it is not uncommon for consultations to run over the prescribed time, no additional charge is made should this happen.
3. How much does a consultations cost?
Prices range from £45 to £345. Please click style services for details. Discount is offered for group bookings & where additional services are booked at the same time e.g. lifestyle wardrobe planning, please ask for details. Additionally, special promotions are run periodically during the year.
4. How can I pay?
Full payment is required at the time of booking. You can pay with a cheque or any major credit or debit card.

6. Can I order a gift voucher and how do I do it?
Yes. Personal consultations and the ultimate personal style guide can be purchased as a special gift for someone else with a gift voucher. See Gift vouchers for further details.
7. What if I have to cancel or re-arrange the consultation date?
Every effort will be made to offer alternative dates should it become necessary for you to re-arrange your appointment. In the event that a mutually acceptable date cannot be met the following cancellation terms will apply:
Minimum 4 weeks notice A full refund will be given
Less than 2 weeks notice 50% refund will be given
Less than 48 hrs notice No refund will be given
6. Where are the consultations held?
At the Intrinsic studio in Welwyn Garden City in Hertfordshire where colour drapes, a full length mirror & accessories will be available for use during the consultation.
7. When is the best time for a consultation?
Where possible, please book your consultation when there will be good levels of natural daylight. Morning appointments are best.
8. Can I book a consultation at the weekend?
Should it be difficult for you to attend in the week, you can book any consultation that has a maximum duration of 2 1/2 hours on a Saturday. All other consultations are available from Monday to Friday.
9. What do I have to do in preparation for a consultation?
On booking a consultation you will be sent a booking form to complete & return with your payment. You will also be required to complete & return a short pre-consultation questionnaire
10. Will I be receiving advice from someone with the appropriate
experience, skills and training?
Yes. Intrinsic is owned & managed by Elaine Hollands, a professional Style Consultant who has been trained, coached & mentored by one of Britain's leading Style Guru's. She is committed to client satisfaction & has built a reputation for her professionalism, innovation & down to earth approach to the creation of every day style. Elaine is a member of the Federation of Image Consultants, & the Chartered Institute of Marketing. All consultations are carried out in strict accordance with the high standards, ethics & codes of practice laid down by the Federation of Image Consultants (the professional body that governs the style & image industry) Membership number 585.
11. Do any conditions apply to any of the services?
The following services require another consultation to have been received first & are not available independently. They require information obtained from the pre-requisite consultation in order to be effective & beneficial and are intended as follow on services, however they do not need to be booked or taken at the same time & discount is offered for multi service bookings:

12. What is special about Intrinsic and why should I book a consultation with you?
Intrinsic is all about helping you to look your best whilst being yourself -reflecting your personality, lifestyle & physical characteristics & helping you to develop a personal style and image that is intrinsic to you. The approach is professional, hands on & very different from the lipstick, shoulder pads & scarves approach of the traditional image consultant. Up to date methods, tools & techniques have been developed & adopted with on going support & mentoring from one of Britain's leading Style Guru's.
13. Is Intrinsic part of a bigger organisation that has been set up to sell me products?
No. Intrinsic is a totally independent style consultancy offering unbiased & impartial advice. Intrinsic is not part of a bigger organisation using style services to meet sales targets for specific product lines. From time to time Intrinsic will work with other complimentary like minded organisations offering a high quality product or service. Reference to these companies may be made & information given.
14. Can I talk to someone who has had an Intrinsic consultation for their opinion before I book?
Yes. Contact details will be provided for anyone who wishes to speak directly with an existing or current Intrinsic client subject to permission being obtained from the individual concerned.
15. Will I be required to undress at the consultation?
No. Analysing your body shape does not require you to undress & you will not be subjected to any treatment or comments that are in anyway embarrassing or cause feelings of discomfort. The aim of an intrinsic consultation is to make you feel good & increase your confidence to help you look the best that you can.
16. If I decide to book, will I get any information to take away?
Yes, comprehensive personal style profiles are provided with most consultations, click style services for further details. The profile refered to within style services is an A5 full colour booklet that contains a detailed and fully comprehensive record of all the advice provided during your consultation. It includes photos, illustrations, personal notes and printed colour samples for both clothes and cosmetics.
